Bring Back the ‘Eelpout’:

The Burbot, known in Norfolk as the Eelpout, is considered extinct in Britain, but it has particular connections with West Norfolk. Not least because the last known one caught in Britain was by an 11 year-old boy in June 1970 at Denver Sluice. The Angling Times reported it (see pic below). It is hopefully to return, and the West Norfolk river, the Wissey, is the likely place The Norfolk Rivers Trust will choose.
